organisation with an important national remit and considerable

We receive annual core-funding and wish to update a previous 2-year

challenges, expectations and calls on us from stakeholders and our
readership.
* The successful applicant should ensure our plan matches with our
strategic plans published by the Department of Rural and Community
Development in regard to volunteering, the development of the
Community & Voluntary Sector, Social Enterprise, etc. We also have
information available on file regarding the mission, purpose and
impact of the organisation.
The estimated cost of the Strategic Review is expected to be between

OBJECTIVES
WE SPECIFICALLY SEEK ASSISTANCE IN:
* Setting a realistic, inspiring, medium-to-long-term Vision
supported by staff and board. Examining if it matches with our Mission
Statement (and if that is still fit for purpose).
* Examining how best to realise our Vision. Help us examine our
objectives, goals. Recommend clear measures of success. For example,
how to improve the impact and reach of our journalism - online and in
print.
OUTCOMES
* A report of approximately **Apply on the website** pages providing
an overview of changes to be made in the short to medium term, gaps
and opportunities for the organisation, and specific recommendations
in relation to pursuing our Vision.
* We will have a plan showing where the organisation and it?s work
is heading.
* The plan should help us become more influential in community
development, local development, social inclusion and fighting
injustice.
METHODOLOGY
* Review of and recommendations based on documents supplied.
* Own research. Questionnaire, Zoom, and/or email consultation /
discussion / online engagement with relevant Changing Ireland
stakeholders. If possible, one short online workshop.
* After consulting relevant Changing Ireland staff, board, editorial
team, etc, the feedback could be included in the report as an
appendix.
TIMEFRAME
* The consultant will liaise with the editor/chair of Changing
Ireland.
* The work will carried out as soon as possible.
BUDGET

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
* A minimum 5 years of professional experience in the Media or C&V
sectors;
* Ability to interpret and analyse qualitative and quantitative
data, and to present findings and recommendations in a clear and
concise way.
* Full working knowledge of English and excellent report writing
skills.
DESIRABLE
* Experience in evaluating media projects.
* Degree or other relevant qualifications in community development
or related field.
* Knowledge of and experience with inclusion analysis, or of working
directly in community development.
SUBMISSION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Consultants that meet the requirements should submit expression of

the assignment and current contact information;
* CV, including detailed work experience, education. Where more than

evaluation work plan including a description of the evaluation
methodology & further refinements and elaboration relative to the
